DAF CF Electric trucks drive 150,000 electric kilometres – limited production follows

The Netherlands - DAF Trucks customers have driven 150,000 fully electric kilometres since commencement of field trials of six DAF CF Electric tractors in daily operation for food and container transport just over one year ago. Based on the extensive practical in-service experience DAF has now gained through utilising VDL E-power technology the company is proposing to open sales in limited numbers. A version internally referred to as 'Phase 2' boasting a new generation of software and a new dashboard will be offered.

"We have now reached the point where we can start to sell the CF Electric in limited numbers," said Richard Zink, Marketing & Sales director. "Think of a few dozen units on an annual basis. In order to guarantee excellent quality, we start up production in a controlled way.
