Brazilian truck and bus chassis production increases 36.5% and 53.8% in the first half of 2024

Brazil – Truck output across Brazil totalled 64,391 units in the first half of the year, an increase of 36.5% compared with 47,173 units the same period in 2023.

According to data released by ANFAVEA (National Association of Vehicle Manufacturers in Brazil) based in São Paulo in June, production was 12,200 units, an increase of 74.1% over the same month last year and 9.5% higher than in May this year. Márcio de Lima Leite, president of ANFAVEA, highlighted the significance of this increase in output, he said: “This month last year, the sector was going through the greatest difficulty in its history, both in production and sales.”
