Kempower provides charging equipment to Norwegian charging operator

Kempower chargers at the Fastcharge site outside of Oslo, Norway

Norway / Finland – Finnish electric charging provider, Kempower OYJ, based in Lahti, Finland, has supplied the charging equipment to Norwegian charging station operator Fastcharge. Last month, Fastcharge opened the country's first electric-truck-dedicated charging hub, just outside of Oslo. Kempower installed the equipment (high-powered Satellite DC chargers) but the smart e-mobility solutions provider Wennstrom, is responsible for the service and maintenance of the EV charging infrastructure. Truck drivers can reserve the site’s Kempower chargers using the Fastcharge app, as to avoid overcrowding.

Rolling out more truck charging hubs will help the country decarbonise its road transportation industry, which accounts for 17% of all of Norway's greenhouse gas emissions. Fastcharge has earmarked four more public charging sites (Sandefjord, Gjesdal, Bergen and Malvik) by the end of the year. The company plans to roll out Kempower’s megawatt chargers at these sites in the future.
