Caio delivers 102 school buses

Brazil - In December, Caio Induscar Ltda of Botucatu, State of São Paulo reported it had delivered another 102 school buses for operation in the city of Botucatu, State of São Paulo; these were sourced under the school bus programme, Caminho da Escola program, which is funded by the National Education Development Fund (FNDE).

The vehicles, which were mounted on Mercedes-Benz LO-916 standard height chassis, were fitted with model type F2400 ORE2 bodies. The vehicle is nine metres long, 2.6m wide, 3.5m high, and has a net payload of at least 3,000kg which provides seating for up to 44 students. The bus is equipped with an accessibility device, such as a mobile seat that slides out and lowers to aid boarding and disembarking of students with with reduced mobility.
