In March, the Brazilian Government in capitol city of Brasília, agreed the launch of a Methane Reduction Programme under an agreement called the Special Regime of Incentives for the Development of Infrastructure (REIDI) to encourage production and sustainable use of biomethane in Brazil.

The U.S. government passed the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, committing an additional USD39bn to decarbonising public transit and USD7.5bn to building charging infrastructure.

Bloomfield-based Jacobs Vehicle Systems Inc, a manufacturer of engine retarding and valve actuation systems, announced recently it has teamed up with ClearFlame Engine Technologies, a growing start-up from Geneva, Illinois, pioneering a new engine technology enabling low-carbon and carbon-negative fuels to be integrated easily into existing heavy-duty diesel engine platforms.
