Caio sells 148 Euro VI buses for Transantiago in Chile

Brazil / Chile - Bus builder, Caio Induscar Ltda of Botucatu, São Paulo has announced it is in the process of exporting 148 Mondego City bus models on Mercedes-Benz Euro VI chassis to Buses Vule, an operator providing services to the Transantiago Transport system in Santiago de Chile. 92 buses of the 148 units were delivered in 2018 with the remainder due for delivery during the first quarter of 2019.

Caio says the Mondego is 12.5 metres long, has 30 seats and a capacity for 97 passengers including one wheelchair user. Each bus is also equipped with electronic destination signs, wireless request stop buttons, air conditioning and USB jacks.
