UK - Electric power conversion specialist, Equipmake Ltd has opened a factory in Snetterton, Norfolk, where it plans to design and manufacture fully-integrated electric bus chassis for an increasingly international customer base.

Previously based in nearby Hethel, the new 1,500 square metre purpose-built facility on the Snetterton Business Park in Snetterton is aimed at meeting global demand for its electric bus chassis. Equipmake says its modular electric bus chassis is to allow any bus or coach builder to become a full electric bus manufacturer almost overnight. Such is the demand from bus makers wishing to build zero emission vehicles that Equipmake has now forged partnerships with companies in Brazil, Argentina and India and consequently grown its UK staff from 15 employees to 52 in a little over two years.
