MAN opens new UK dealer service facility with e-Mobility charging and servicing capability

UK - MAN Truck & Bus UK Ltd of Swindon has opened a new state-of-the-art dealership in Gateshead, Tyne and Wear just two miles from the A1(M) north/south motorway for providing support for the complete range of MAN vehicles, ie trucks, vans, buses and coaches. Looking ahead to address the needs of future vehicles and customer requirements, four double vehicle electric vehicle charging points have been installed and so creating MAN's first eMobility workshop in the UK.

The new dealership is part of a GBP20m investment programme across the MAN Truck & Bus UK dealer network. Housed within a 1.3 hectare site the facility has a new 24,524 sq ft building with 12 workshop bays and an additional MOT ATF test lane. Supported by 20 vehicle technicians it will provide 24-hour opening Monday to Friday as well as operating extensive opening hours at weekends. The spare parts department is to hold GBP350,000 of stock, which is to be accessible to technicians 24/7.  Two mobile service vans provide 24/7 regional breakdown assistance all year round.
