Belgium / Poland - WABCO Holdings Inc of Brussels, Belgium, a global supplier of braking control systems and other advanced technologies that improve the safety, efficiency and connectivity of commercial vehicles, has opened a new Global Test Centre in Wroclaw, Poland. The Test Centre is an extension to the existing WABCO Research and Development (R&D) Centre, which opened in October 2014 and represents an investment of USD3.3m.

Wabco says the new  facility will enable performance and endurance tests for a range of solutions including its Modular Braking Systems Platform (mBSP), Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) and car compressors, all of which improve vehicle safety and efficiency. A variety of climate chambers enables state of the art automotive testing and measurements in extreme temperature ranges. An additional rapid prototyping workshop for valve technologies will also be installed on-site.
