Marcopolo records first quarterly loss since the fourth quarter of 2016

Brazil - Marcopolo SA of Caxias do Sul, Rio Grande do Sul recorded net revenue of BRA836.5m in the third quarter of 2020, which was a reduction of 22.6% compared with BRA957m in the same period in 2019; however, this third quarter performance was 46% better than in the second quarter.

Marcopolo recorded a loss of BRA54.3m in the third quarter of 2020 (USD10.5m), against a profit of BRA22.8m (USD4.3m) recorded in the same period of 2020. It is the first quarterly loss since the fourth quarter of 2016. (Not since 1994 has the company recorded a loss for a full year).
