MAZ-MAN to produce 8x8 tractor for oil and gas customer

BelarusMAZ-MAN of Minsk (a joint venture between MAN Truck & Bus SE of Munich, Germany and MAZ, has unveiled a new 8x8 tractor truck, MAZ-MAN 747559. The truck has gross vehicle weight of 42t gvw and fifth-wheel of up to 27t using a JOST 38-G-1 coupling. It is powered by a 480hp engine MAN D2676LF09 (Euro 5) coupled with a ZF 16S2520TO mechanical gearbox, ZF WG2000/396 transfer case. It is fitted with Hande Axel axles with a ratio of 5.92 and 16.00 r20 off road tyres.

Russia’s Surgutneftegaz oil and gas corporation has ordered the production of the vehicle. Currently, MAZ-MAN 747559 is being tested at a proving ground and in the future, it will be used for the transportation of special construction machinery across rough terrain.
