Brazil - Forecasting a positive GDP in 2021 for the Brazilian economy of 3%, Scania Latin America Ltda of São Bernardo do Campo, SP, expects higher corresponding CV sales in 2021. Scania’s president, Christopher Podgorski, made these statements during the AutoData Perspectives 2021 Congress, held in a virtual environment by AutoData Editora in late October.

This forecast, however, came with various caveats such as unstable and irregular access to markets, risk of a second wave of transmission of the coronavirus and uncertainties in the geo-political arena, such as the intensification of relations between China-United States. (This statement was made before the announcement of the rollout of several vaccines and the outcome of the US presidency election).
