Accelera by Cummins unveils batteries and hydrogen engine at Busworld Europe

Belgium / USA  – Accelera* (the zero-emissions business unit of Cummins Inc) of Columbus, Indiana, this week presents its BP95E battery as it makes its European bus debut at Busworld Europe (7 – 12 October in Brussels), stand number 775 – Hall 7. Developed for city buses, the BP95E battery features a high energy density with flexible mounting options. In terms of engines, the 150kW Hydrogen Fuel Cell Engine for coaches is on display, representing the latest generation in fuel cell technology.

The 1CS2016 NextGen electric motor with the new faster, more efficient ELFA 3 inverter is the main attraction. Martinus Verschoor, Vice President, Traction-Systems for Accelera said:
