Hungary/China/France - The first deliveries of electric buses to local customers have been completed by BYD production facilities in France and Hungary. BYD Co Ltd, based in Shenzhen, China, said it has invested in localised production for the European region for numerous reasons but key points are stronger communication with customers and the ability to configure vehicles for local requirements.

BYD France delivered its first two 12m electric buses assembled in its Beauvais factory to the Agglo du Beauvais, the community of the Beauvais area. They will operate in normal services linking the city and specifically the train station with Beauvais-Tillé airport and an express liaison shuttle bus route to the hotels. They are to be operated by Transdev and are expected to cover up to 160km a day with overnight charging at Corolis, a Transdev network Depot in Beauvais.
