MB and Bosch join to create CV test centre in Brazil

Germany / Brazil - Mercedes-Benz do Brasil Ltda of Campinas, State of São Paulo, Brazil (a subsidiary of Daimler AG of Stuttgart) has agreed with Robert Bosch GmbH of Gerlingen, Germany to build jointly a state-of-the-art Vehicle Test Centre for commercial vehicles in Brazil.

Initial construction work commences in the first half of 2020. The start of operations is scheduled for 2021. The validation centre project represents investment of  BRA70m (around EUR15m). The facility is to focus on testing for the development of systems for vehicle safety and suspension control as well as systems for improved energy efficiency and for semi-automated driving.
