Paccar's Peterbilt engages Dana for development of medium-duty electric truck powertrain development

USA - Peterbilt Motors Company of Denton, Texas and Dana Incorporated of Maumee, Ohio announced at the CES event in Las Vegas this month their collaboration on electric powertrain development for the Peterbilt Model 220EV battery electric vehicles.

Peterbilt will integrate Dana's Spicer Electrified e-propulsion system, using a Dana TM4 SUMO HD electric motor powering a standard Dana driveshaft and drive axle. The truck is to be also equipped with two battery packs and an on-board charger.
