ADL receives order for a further 180 hybrid double decks as it starts delivery of the first order for 100 hybrids from Ireland’s NTA

UK / Ireland - Alexander Dennis Ltd (ADL) of Larbert, UK (a subsidiary of Canada’s NFI Group Inc (NFI)) in December announced delivery of the first of an initial order for 100, Enviro400ER plug-in hybrid double deck buses to the Republic of Ireland’s National Transport Authority (NTA); the first vehicles are expected to enter service in early 2021, 74 with Dublin Bus in the Irish capital, and a further 26 with Bus Éireann in Galway. It added the NTA has since ordered a further 180 hybrid double decks for delivery in 2021.

The orders form part of a five-year framework agreement for a total of up to 600 Enviro400ER buses announced in January 2020.
