Brazil - According to data collated and supplied by Anfir (National Association of Manufacturers of Road Implements) of São Paulo, SP, sales of semi-trailers and truck bodies reflected the performance of the truck segment i.e., recovering strongly in the second half of 2020 after the sharp fall at the start of the pandemic. Overall, total sales of truck bodies and semi-trailers finished the year up 0.8% over the previous year, by registering 121,891 units against 120,962 units.

Growth was driven by the sales of heavy-duty trailers and semi-trailers (trailers), which saw sales increase 6.2% year-on-year to 67,403 units compared with 63,494 units in 2019.
