Brazil - The truck segment in Brazil was the least automobile market segment to be affected by the negative effects of the Covid-19 pandemic, according to figures supplied by ANFAVEA (National Association of Automotive Vehicle Manufacturers) of Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Production of trucks in 2020 totalled 90,936 units, some 19.9% lower than that recorded for 2019 of 113,476. This was considered a positive result by Marco Saltini, vice president of the association as, he says, it was the segment least affected by the effects of the health crisis as it had recorded the lowest reduction in volume terms compared to other vehicle segments.
