Tractor production decreased by a greater percentage of 9.9%, falling from 33,269 units to 29,985 units.

Medium and heavy rigid truck (7.5t GVW and above) sales slipped by 8% to 108,018 units from 117,351 units in the same period of FY2023.

For the period January to September 2024, Brazilian bus production grew by 38% to 21,197 units.

According to the Anfavea, a total of 102,611 units rolled off the assembly lines, a significant rise from the 71,765 units produced in 2023.

Domestic sales demonstrated significant growth as well, increasing by 52.8%, while production increased by 24.3%.

The Indian tractor market, ranging from 31 tons to 55 tons GVW (Gross Vehicle Weight), exhibited varied performance in the April to June 2024-25 (Q1/ 2024/25) period compared with the same quarter last year.

Total production across all categories fell by 3.2% from 145,769 to 141,115, indicating a slight contraction in manufacturing output.

The Indian medium and heavy rigid truck market (7.5t gvw and above) from April to June 2024-25 (FY Q1: 2024/25) shows a mix of growth and decline across different GVW (Gross Vehicle Weight) segments when compared with the same period in 2023-24.

Production of bus chassis in Brazil surged by 53.8% in the first half of the year reaching 14,668 units compared with 9,539 units in the same period last year.

Truck output across Brazil totalled 64,391 units in the first half of the year, an increase of 36.5% compared with 47,173 units the same period in 2023. Bus and coach chassis output increased 53.8%

Production of bus and coach bodies in Brazil saw a 4.9% increase in the first six months of this year to 10,851 units from 10,336 units.

Year-to-date, truck sales have increased by 4.8%, with a total of 46,785 units sold compared to 44,663 units sold from January to May 2023.
