Brazilian bus and coach body output shrinks 26.7% but not all builders saw output contract

Brazil - According to data released by Fabus (National Association of Bus Manufacturers) based in São Paulo, SP, Brazilian production of bus and coach bodies decreased by 26.7% in 2020 compared with the previous year; 16,715 units were manufactured against 22,806 in the same period last year.

Both exports and domestic markets failed to support production; exports fell for a second year in a row accounting for 3,416 units, a decrease of 31.0% against 4,948 units in 2019, while the home market contracted by more than 25% from 17,858 to 13,299 units.
