BYD and Comil link to build electric intercity city and commuter bus

Brazil – October 2020 saw bus body builder, Comil Ônibus S.A. of Erechim, Rio Grande do Sul State, in partnership with BYD Brasil Ltda of Campinas, the Brazilian subsidiary of BYD Co Ltd, the Zhenzhen-based e-bus chassis manufacturer, produce its first 100% electric vehicle.

The Campione Invictus 1200 body, produced by Comil on the BYD D9F 4x2 chassis, has been developed for operations of short and medium distances for public and charter services such as city commuter services and intercity transfers. Officially called Campione Invictus 1200 Electric, it is already fully certified and is now available for sale in Brazil as well as foreign markets, says Comil.
