Leyland Trucks rolls out its 200,000th DAF LF

UKLeyland Trucks Ltd of Leyland, UK (a subsidiary of Paccar Inc), of Bellevue, Washington, USA), the producer of DAF trucks for right hand drive markets, last month celebrated production of its 200,000th LF chassis.

The Lancashire-based manufacturer of UK specification right-hand-drive DAF commercial vehicles completed the LF City 170 7.5-tonne gvw rigid truck last month, which has been delivered to local customer, EVTS, in Blackpool. The LF City specification includes a manual five-speed gearbox and the lightweight Paccar PX-4 170hp engine. The truck is also equipped with Paccar curtain-side bodywork, designed and manufactured by Leyland Trucks on a dedicated production line on site at Leyland.
