Volta Trucks ties-up deal with Petit Forestier to develop and build full-electric refrigerated delivery trucks

Sweden / UK / France – New distribution electric truck start up, Volta Trucks of Stockholm, Sweden has announced it has entered a long term strategic partnership with Petit Forestier SAS of Villepinte (Paris), France - the European leader in refrigeration rentals - to develop and build a full-electric refrigerated delivery truck. To be based on the Volta Zero – Volta Trucks’ 16-tonne gvw zero-emission commercial vehicle purposely designed for urban deliveries and operations – it is to be bodied and equipped by Lecapitaine of Saint Lo in northern France, a specialist manufacturer of refrigerated bodywork and wholly-owned subsidiary of Petit Forestier.

Volta Trucks’ stated the Lecapitaine design office had started already collaborating with its technical teams to ensure comprehensive integration of the box body and the refrigeration unit. The first refrigerated Volta Zero is scheduled for user testing in mid-2021 with start of production scheduled for 2022. The agreement covers all refrigerated vehicles sold by Volta Trucks.
