Minority stake in BMZ acquired by German investment firm

GermanyBMZ Group, a battery manufacturer based in Karlstein am Main, Bavaria, has announced that investment firm SKion GmbH of Bad Homburg von der Höhe, Hesse, has acquired a 20% stake in the company for an undisclosed sum. 

SKion is the investment company representing Susanne Klatten, an heiress ranked as the richest woman in Germany. The firm states that it invests in companies with “sustainably successful business models”, in the hope of having “a positive impact on the economy, society and the environment.” Professor Frank Richter, CEO of SKion, stated:
