Isuzu exits Russia after halting production

Isuzu N-series assembled in Russia

Russia / Japan - Isuzu Motors Ltd, headquartered in Yokohama and Japan’s Kanagawa prefecture, has pulled out of Russia entirely, according to reports in Japan citing an official familiar with the situation.

The company halted production at its joint venture plant in the Russian city of Ulyanovsk in March 2022, soon after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, and has been unable to resume production since then due to a lack of components.
