UK / China – In response to growing demand in the UK for zero emission buses,  Alexander Dennis Ltd (ADL) of Larbert, UK (a subsidiary of NFI Group Inc of Winnipeg, Canada) and BYD UK of Iver, UK (a subsidiary BYD Company Ltd of Shenzhen, China) are extending their business partnership with the announcement they plan to assemble electric bus chassis in the UK starting in the second half of 2021.

The companies said they plan design and assembly of chassis for the BYD ADL partnership’s electric single and double deck buses at ADL’s facilities in the UK for the British market. The companies state the move further strengthens the partnership’s market-leading position while underpinning jobs in Britain and developing skills in the growing market for clean vehicle technology.
