Portugal / Germany - A 12m Caetano H2.City Gold, built by Caetano bus in Gaia, Portugal, and powered by a Toyota hydrogen fuel cell, is now operating on different routes for the regional public transport company, Regionalverkehr Köln GmbH (RVK) in Cologne, Germany.

The trial demonstration, which is for a month from mid-December to mid-January, allows RVK to test a Caetano hydrogen bus during harsh winter weather season. The Caetano H2.CityGold is being operated from RVK’s two main bus depots - Meckenheim and Wermelskirchen - and refuelled at two different hydrogen station locations so it can be tested on several bus routes so as to demonstrate performance capability and technical compatibility.
