Nikola and FFI to collaborate in green hydrogen production in the USA

USA / AustraliaNikola Corporation, a manufacturer of zero-emission trucks based in Phoenix, Arizona, USA, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Fortescue Future Industries Pty Ltd (FFI), a green energy company and subsidiary of Fortescue Metals Group Ltd (which is headquartered in Perth, Western Australia), proposing a long-term partnership in green hydrogen production in the USA. 

The two companies have agreed to collaborate in the development of large-scale green hydrogen projects in the U.S., but have so far released no concrete details as to their plans. In addition, Nikola has promised to evaluate any hydrogen offtake opportunities from FFI’s existing projects, though it has not committed to any quotas.
