Japan / South Korea - Isuzu Motors Ltd, headquartered in Yokohama in Japan’s Kanagawa prefecture, has partnered with South Korea’s LG Energy Solution Ltd (LGES) to source batteries for its electric trucks - as the Japanese company steps up its transition to zero emission vehicles.

According to a recent regulatory filing by LGES, the South Korean battery manufacturer has an agreement in place to supply Isuzu with batteries for its light-duty trucks until the end of 2026, with unconfirmed sources suggesting the deal is worth at least KRW1trn (USD748m).
