BYD celebrates 20 years in Europe

China / The Netherlands – Battery and electric vehicle manufacturer, BYD Company of Shenzhen, China celebrated 20 years of operations in Europe at its European headquarters in Schiedam, The Netherlands last December.
In December 1998, BYD Europe BV was established as the first overseas subsidiary of the Chinese company, established to import BYD batteries. A few years later it expanded the business with solar panels and from 2012, it added electric buses, forklifts and taxis to its product portfolio.
