UK - Millbrook Proving Ground of Millbrook in Bedford, is increasing its operational capacity to support the heavy-duty commercial vehicle industry in meeting air quality and CO2 targets. Significant investment is already going into facilities for testing passenger vehicle emissions, but now following the European Parliament's proposal to set a truck CO2 emissions reduction target of 20% by 2025, increasing to 35% in 2030, Millbrook, aware of the substantial challenge this represents to the commercial vehicle industry is keen to work with manufacturers through increased capabilities in development, approval and monitoring testing.

Alex Burns, President of Millbrook, said “We are committed to supporting the development of heavy duty vehicle technologies, whether our customers are targeting improvements in energy efficiency in an electric bus or reduction in truck CO2 emissions. Our experts in vehicle testing, homologation and approvals are always on hand and our facilities are world-class. Both are constantly evolving to provide more to our customers.”
