Brigade unveils new pedestrian alert system for electric vehicles

UK – Kent-based Brigade Electronics has launched a new pedestrian alert system for electric vehicles called Quiet Vehicle Sounder (QVS) that uses a speaker system designed to reduce collisions between pedestrians and hybrid/electric vehicles.

Known as an AVAS (Acoustic Vehicle Alerting System) within the automotive market, the QVS simulates the sound characteristics of an internal combustion engine by emitting a blend of white sound frequencies and tonal sounds.
