Eletra signs partnership agreements with Moura Group and XALT Energy to produce electric buses in Brazil

Brazil / USA - Eletra (Tecnologia de Tração Elétrica*) of São Bernardo do Campo, Sao Paulo - recognized as a national and international reference company in development of electric traction systems for buses - has signed exclusive partnership agreements with Grupo Moura**, the leader in battery sales in South America and XALT Energy***, a Midland, Michigan, USA-based company, specializing in energy solutions for heavy vehicles, to develop electric buses to be manufactured in Brazil. The agreement is to allow Eletra to present, in the first half of this year, prototype models with both electric and hybrid drivetrains.

Maria Beatriz Setti Braga, owner-partner of Eletra said: “Eletra is a pioneering Brazilian company in the development of electric traction systems for heavy vehicles. Innovation is our DNA and this new partnership will allow Eletra to manufacture new models of electric buses and will make Brazil even more prominent in the world of electro-mobility”.
