VW Worker trucks delivered to police force in Bolivia

Bolivia / Brazil - Volkswagen Caminhões e Ônibus Ltda of Resende, Brazil has delivered the first seven VW Worker 10.150 trucks of 15 units to be fitted with a number of bespoke bodies for operation by the National Police of Bolivia in three Bolivian cities of La Paz, Cochabamba and Santa Cruz. Produced by Volkswagen Caminhões e Ônibus in Resende, Brazil, the vehicles have been fitted with lifting and towing equipment as well as combinations of crane and hydraulic platforms for rescue operations. All bodies are supplied and fitted by VWCO’s body partner, BMB Modification Centre in Resende in Brazil.

Ricardo Aguirre, Marketing Manager at Hansa, the importer for VW Trucks and Buses in Bolivia said: “Thanks to the combination, it is possible to tow vehicles parked on forbidden roads, for example, as well as providing rescue in case of breakdowns or accidents.” Marcos Forgioni, VP of Sales - International Markets added: “It is very important that the Bolivian customer can count on services tailored to their product line. This is a feature that is in the DNA of Volkswagen Caminhões e Ônibus Ltda in all our markets.”
