Daimler India plans to release Euro VI (BS6) compliant vehicles during 2019 ahead of the April 2020 deadline

India – Daimler India Commercial Vehicles Pvt Ltd (DICV) of Oragadam, near Chennai (a subsidiary of Germany’s Daimler AG of Stuttgart) has announced it plans before the end of this year to introduce no fewer than 52 vehicles with Euro VI (BS-6) compliant engines. This is ahead of the new emission regulations being introduced from April 2020.

In 2019, Daimler Buses India also said it was focusing on preparations to upgrade its entire portfolio to the BS VI emissions standard; this includes the BharatBenz 9-tonne buses in the school, staff and tourist bus sub-segments, Mercedes-Benz 15-metre multi-axle luxury coaches and bus chassis for the 9, 16 and 24-tonne segments.
