Hella India plans second electronics manufacturing plant in Gujarat

Gurgaon / Gujarat / Germany - Supplier of vehicle lighting and electronics, Hella India Automotive Pvt Ltd1 of Gurgaon, India – a 100% subsidiary of Hella GmbH & Co KGaA of Stuttgart, Germany - is building a second electronics plant in India to meet growing demand for electronic components from local customers. With an investment of USD15m, the new production premises are to be built in the city of Mehsana, Gujarat.

Initially focus is to be on production of sensor systems for accelerator pedals but output will gradually be expanded to include other products. In the first phase, the plant is to include a built area extending to some 5,000 square metres, which is expected to offer employment for up to 200 people.
