Daimler CV Indonesia unveils upgraded 917 front engine bus chassis and introduces fleetboard in Indonesia at Busworld South East Asia

Indonesia – PT Daimler Commercial Vehicles Indonesia (DCVI) of Jakarta, the sales agent of Mercedes-Benz branded commercial vehicles in Indonesia at Busworld South East Asia 2019 held at the Jakarta International Expo, Kemayoran, Jakarta in March used the show to launch its latest version of the Mercedes-Benz OF 917 front-engine bus chassis.
The improved model incorporates the Mercedes-Benz 4D34i, 3.9 litre, 4-cylinder Euro 3 engine with turbocharger and intercooler offering a power output maximum of 170hp (125kW) @ 2,500 rev/min and torque of 520Nm @ 1,500 – 2,000 rev/min with manual MO36S6 Synchromesh 6-speed transmission. Daimler representatives pointed out the Mercedes-Benz OF 917 maintained its strong characteristics as a leader in its segment of a wider total width, full air braking, Rane HFB64 power steering (Rane (Madras) Ltd) with adjustable steering column both in height and inclination, and parabolic suspension front and rear.
