Haldex undertaking new braking concept for connected and autonomous electric vehicles with un-named truck builder

Sweden – Trailer brake specialist, Haldex AB of Landskrona, Sweden has announced it was working in close cooperation with a leading truck manufacturer to evaluate brake solutions for connected, autonomous, electric vehicles.

Haldex said that a year ago, in the spring of 2018, it had presented its work on future technologies in braking relating to connected, autonomous and electrified vehicles, which it called its ‘Scalable Brake System’*. Following dialogue with a number of potential customers, one of them has now signed up Haldex for a concept design phase.
