Martrans unveils hydraulically driven full-width belt discharge trailer

UK – Martrans of Blyborough, Scunthorpe, the bulk handling manufacturing division of Hull’s Paneltex Ltd, unveiled a full-width hydraulically driven belt discharge prototype trailer at Tip-Ex 2019 in Harrogate last month.
This new trailer featured a hydraulically driven drum, which winds a reinforced rubber compound matting from the front to the rear to discharge the contents. Capable of operating in working temperatures of 240 degrees C, it is suitable for asphalt as well as other bulk load materials such as sand, aggregates and agricultural produce. Fitted with cameras on the bulkhead and at the rear, these allow the driver to control the rate of discharge using video monitors in the cab.
