UKCargo Securing Solutions (CSS) presented a wide range of cargo securing systems at this year’s Commercial Vehicle Show. The company offers systems from NWE, Wistra and Kinedyne, which range from conventional ratchet-operated lashing belts to track-mounted suspended strapping for curtainsiders and double deck trailers as well as a fully automated system.

Use of track-mounted suspended straps not only simplifies the securing procedure it negates the requirement for drivers to climb onto the loading floor or the load itself. They not only speed up load securing operations, they contribute to safer working practices for drivers. For types of haulage operations that can take advantage of a fully automated system, the initial additional cost can be weighed against time saved. These require no driver interaction other than a single push of a button.
