Iveco Bus of Turin, Italy, part of CNH Industrial NV of London, UK, has delivered the first 15 of 141 hybrid electric Urbanway articulated buses to STIB-MIVB Brussels Intercommunal Transport Company, the local public transport operator in Brussels, Belgium. The delivery follows the signing of a framework agreement last September for the supply of 141 vehicles, which should be completed by 2020. Spread over two years, 75 units are to be delivered this year and the remainder by mid-2020.

The hybrid Urbanway has passenger capacity of up to 130. Its low floor design improves passenger flow management and accessibility. Dedicated spaces are provided for wheelchairs and buggies are provided.
