UK – Tyre manufacturer, Michelin UK Ltd launched new additions to its heavy-duty X Multi tyre range at the CV Show. Available in 315/80 R22.5 and 315/70 R22.5 sizes, the X Multi HD D, is designed for drive axle applications such as solid bulk, agricultural and specialist operators whose fleets require a high mileage capability combined with the resilience and traction properties for unpaved access roads or aggressive surfaces in the final delivery/collection stages.

This is the first time Michelin has produced a heavy-duty drive tyre within its regional tyre range. Chris Smith, sales director for Michelin UK, said: “Regional tread pattern tyres account for more than two-thirds of our total sales in the UK and Irish CV markets and we have been gradually developing the X Multi range to cater for the different needs of operators within this sector. We believe the new HD D is the most robust tyre on the market for versatile applications. It complements the regular X Multi and the X Multi Energy tyres, launched 12 months ago, for fleets where the priority is on fuel saving.”
