Potential sales boost for DAF Trucks with Paccar Financial

Brazil - The opportunity for DAF Trucks Brazil Ltda of Ponta Grossa, Paraná to sell more trucks in Brazil has risen with the arrival in the country in June of Paccar Financial*. This is the financial division of DAF’s parent company, Paccar Inc of Bellevue, Washington, USA, whose presence arrives six years’ after DAF started its business in Brazil.
Paccar Financial, which is located on the same DAF site in Paraná, has an objective of providing finance for about 30% of the DAF trucks sold in Brazil in 2020. João Petry, managing director of Paccar Financial estimates that this year, it would account for up to 20% of the total DAF sales volume, which is a figure very close to its global average percentage of 24%.
