Brazil - Scania do Brasil Ltda of São Bernardo do Campo, São Paulo has sold 300 New Generation¹ model trucks to G10², a buying and operational consortium of transport operators, which is based in Maringá, State of Paraná. This is the largest single G10 acquisition to date by G10 with orders for custom-built units based on Scania’s tri-axle R 450 6×2 and R 500 6×4 models. Deliveries have already begun and will continue throughout the second half of 2019. 190 trucks are to be delivered to a company called company Transpanorama and the other 110 deliveries are to be divided between another four companies (Transfalleiro, Cordiolli, Rodofaixa and VMH Transportes).

Claudio Adamuccio, CEO of G10 and managing director of Transpanorama, commenting on the buying criteria, said: "We have verified the diesel economy of the New Generation trucks is bigger than the previous generation, as was promised by Scania." Stating there were three buying pillars or criteria that defined the choice of product and brand for the G10 buying group, Adamuccio explained: "The first is the economic one, because transport fuel is the largest percentage cost of total operating cost. The second is comfort of the cabin, this is because labour is scarce, and we need to offer the best truck to retain drivers. The third pillar is truck availability or uptime; we cannot make money with the stationary vehicle, so we need to have minimal maintenance."
