SML ISUZU showcases three bus models at Prawas

India - Commercial vehicle maker, SML Isuzu Ltd of Chandigarh, Punjab (which is owned by a consortium of Sumitomo Corporation of Tokyo, Japan (44%) and Isuzu Motors Ltd (15%) and institutional investors) showcased three bus models at the second edition of Prawaas 2019, held in Mumbai in July for the 2019/20 season: the Executive Lx Coach¹, S7 CNG² and BH Series staff bus³, which broadly cater to staff and tourist applications.

¹Executive Lx Coach 5100 XT is powered with BSIV SLT4 3455cc develops 85kw at 2600 rev/min, 400Nm at 1400-1600 rev/min is matched with Synchromesh (5F+1R) gear box. The chassis of 9m length, wheelbase 5.1m is fitted with semi elliptical type multi leaf spring with antiroll bar at front and rear. Compliant to AIS 153, seating of 24+1+1 and 26+1+1 with reclining seats and 35+1+1/37+1+1 with semi-reclining seats.
