Brazil - Orders for the Scania New Generation Truck, launched last November, already total 8,000 units, Scania Brasil Ltda announced last month with sales growth expectations of up to 20% this year against 2018.

While pre-sales of the new models started in November last year, production of the New Generation Truck only began in February this year at the São Bernardo do Campo (SP) plant, which follows an on-going five-year investment programme (2016-2020) of BRA2.6bn (USD650m) by Scania on its Brazilian operations.
