VWCO’s vehicle factory modification partnership with BMB hits 18 years

Brazil BMB Mode Center Ltda of Resende, Rio de Janeiro, the vehicle modification specialist for Volkswagen Trucks and Buses, has just completed 18 years of operations, manufacturing some 135,000 custom-built bodies in that timeframe. Today, BMB’s built-up or modified vehicles already account for 25% of all vehicles produced by Volkswagen Trucks & Buses (VWCO) in Resende.

Rodrigo Chaves, vice president of engineering at VWCO said the company was the first vehicle maker to deliver special vehicles and that the market was growing for this service. He said: “Our flexibility in production and the ability to innovate in engineering supports this business strategy and has spurred this growth."
