Argentina / Brazil - Brazilian vehicle manufacturing concern, Agrale SA of Caxias do Sul, Brazil, has delivered its first gas-powered bus, model MT 17.0 LE, to Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina. This is the first CNG-powered bus to operate in the city meeting the standards set by the city's Clean Transport Plan. It is the first Euro VI vehicle with CNG. Agrale introduced a CNG bus in 2012, which is still in use, but it is Euro V. Because of this Clean Transport Plan, Scania is testing a vehicle in Buenos Aires too, but Agrale was the first.

The bus has a 12m long, low-floor chassis powered by a 272hp Euro VI FPT branded natural gas rear engine with a five-speed Allison T-210 automatic transmission and manufactured at the Agrale plant in the city of Mercedes, Province of Buenos Aires, Argentina. The CNG engine can run on natural gas and bio methane.
