Randon enjoys strong growth in first half of 2019

Brazil – Truck body and trailer builder, Empresas Randon SA of Caxias do Sul, Rio Grande do Sul reported strong results for the first half of 2019. Total gross revenues from January to June totalled BRA3.5bn (USD875m), up by 27.6% over BRA 2.75 bn (USD 687m) in the same period in same period of 2018; consolidated net revenue totalled BRA2.4bn (USD600m), an increase of 25.5% over BRA1.94bn (USD478m) in the same period of the previous year.

Consolidated gross profit grew 33.7% and was BRA616.1m (USD154m) in the 1H19, producing a gross margin of 25.3%, against BRA460.8m (USD115m) and a gross margin of 23.7% in the same period of 2018. Consolidated Earnings Before Interest, Tax, Depreciation and Amortization (EBITDA) totalled BRA338m (USD85m) in the first six months of this year, an increase of 18.3% on BRA286m(USD 72m) set in the first half of 2018. (The EBITDA for the half year was boosted by a very strong second quarter of BRA203.7m (USD51m), a 61.3% increase on BRA126.3m in Q2/18).
